In the state of Virginia, massage therapists are required to complete 750 hours of classroom training in conjunction with performing student massage outside the classroom environment. Virginia also requires massage therapists to have an in-depth training on anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, pathology, and Swedish massage techniques, amongst many others.

To obtain a massage license, one must pass a rigorous state exam administered by the Virginia Board of Nursing. It is required by the NCBTMB to take 24 hours of continuing education units every two years, including CPR Certification.

Christie, completed the massage therapy course in April of 2005 at the Heritage Institute in Manassas, Virginia. She is also trained in the following therapies:

Pam Carson, CMT

I am a certified massage therapist (CMT) and have been practicing massage in the Fredericksburg area since 2006. I finished the 600-hour program at Potomac Massage Training Institute in Washington, D.C. During the day, I am a full-time P.E. teacher for Stafford County, so I can only schedule in the evenings and on Saturdays. I would love to tailor a massage session to fit your needs.

Kiera Ackert, CMT

My name is Kiera. I went to massage school at N.M.T.I (National Massage Therapy Institute) for massage therapy. Ever since I was a little girl I wanted to help people feel better and stop their aches and pains, and I found massage therapy helps that. I went to school to learn and grow my desire to help people. My focus is on the more medical/clinical side of massage, with a focus on Sports massage, Neuromuscular therapy, Myofascial and Deep tissue massage. I hope that you will come and see me, so I can help to make your day and quality of life better.

Alaina Allen, CMT

Working as a Certified Nursing Assistant of 5 years, I re-routed my career path from Nursing School to Massage Therapy in 2009, as I became rooted in the idea of providing holistic therapeutic relief. A Cum Laude Graduate of The Medical Arts School of Raleigh N.C, I received 750 hours of extensive teaching and training in Anatomy and Physiology, Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage, Assessment, Sports Massage, Pathology, Reflexology, Trigger Point Release and Head, Face and Neck Treatment.

My mantra has always been with each of my clients: "We will meet the body where it's at"; knowing how important it is to have an understanding of what brings each person through the door and how we as a team can get you back on a path of restoration.

The following: Swedish Massage | Deep Tissue | Sports Massage | Trigger Point Therapy | Chronic Neck, Shoulder and Back Pain Management | Myofascial Release | Pregnancy Massage | Frozen Shoulder Treatment | and TMJ Disorder; are common skills, treatments, and techniques that are tailored into my sessions.

In Health & Relaxation,
